THE CAFE IMPROV
New LOCATION -- "conTEMPORARY" ARTS CENTER, Princeton Shopping Center.
From the center of Princeton and the university campus, go northeasterly on Nassau Street (Route 27) through the Washington Rd. and Olden
St. lights to Harrison St. (Harrison is the Northernmost Princeton exit off Route 1). From Nassau, left onto Harrison and through the lights at Hamilton, and Franklin. Then two blocks and after the fire station on the right, you take the first right off Harrison into the Princeton Shopping Center (301 N. Harrison St., 08540; [609] 924-8777), where the Arts Council's "conTEMPORARY" Arts Center is to the left of Eckerd drug store.
Cafe Improv has a call out for poets to recite or perform their
work rather than read. Poets are given ten minutes before
a live and a TV audience. Delivery is important and humor is at a premium. The show, which runs from 9:00
p.m. to midnight, is musical acts interspersed with comedy, poetry, and other acts.
